An Act to amend the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966
(7 September 1982
BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
(1) This Act may be cited as the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1982 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Act 1966 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").
(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of August 1982.
Section 9 of the principal Act (as substituted by Section 2 of the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1981) in hereby repealed and the following section substituted:-.
"5. Rate of Pension
Pensions shall be paid at the rate of $30 every four weekly period."
Section 15 of the principal Act (as substituted by section 2 of the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Relief Amendment Act 1980) is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (5) (as amended by section 3 of the Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Amendment Act 1981) the words "four dollars and fifty cents in any week", and substituting the words "$10.25 every fourteen days".
The Aged Destitute and Infirm Persons Amendment Act 1981 is hereby repealed.
This Act is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
