An Act to amend the Civil List Ordinance 1965

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. Short Title and Commencement –

(1) This Act may be cited as the Civil List Ordinance Amendment Act 1966 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Civil List Ordinance 1965 (hereinafter referred to as "the Ordinance").

(2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 4th day of August 1966.

2. Salary and allowances of Premier –

Section 3 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (a) the words "fifteen hundred" and substituting the words "two thousand".

3. Salary and allowances of Ministers –

Section 4 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (a) of subsection (1) the words "twelve hundred" and substituting the words "thirteen hundred and fifty".

4. Salary and allowances of Speaker –

Section 8 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by omitting from paragraph (a) of subsection (1) the word "two" and substituting the word "three".

5. Salary of members of Legislative Assembly –

Section 9 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by omitting the word "one" and substituting the word "two".

6. Sitting allowance –

Section 10 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by omitting from subsection (1) the word "two" and substituting the word "three".
