An Act to amend the Entry, Residence and Departure Act 1971-72

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
This Act may be cited as the Entry, Residence and Departure Amendment Act 1973-74 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Entry, Residence and Departure Act 1971-72 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").
Section 2 of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the definition of the term "Bona fide visitor" and substituting the following definition:-
"means any person who enters the Cook Islands solely:-
- (a) For the purposes of holiday or recreation and does not engage in the practice of any profession, or occupation, business, trade or other commercial enterprise; or
- (b) For or on behalf of any person or body corporate whose principal place of business is outside the Cook Islands and does not engage in the practice of any profession, or occupation, business, trade or other commercial enterprise except on behalf of that person or body corporates
Section 40 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting after the words "body corporate" and before the words "in the practice" the words "whose principal place of business is in the Cook Islands."
This Act is administered in the Ministry of Labour and Commerce.
