An Act to amend the Outer Islands Local Government Act 1987

BE IT ENACTED by the Parliament of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short Title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Outer Islands Local Government Amendment Act 1990 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Outer Islands Local Government Act 1987 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act").

2. Island Council Funds

Subsection (2) of section 27 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting the words "or subject to the approval of the Financial Secretary in any trading Bank carrying on business in the Cook Islands" after the expression "Post Office Savings Bank".

This Act is administered in the Department of Outer Islands Affairs
