CONSENT DECISION
This dispute was reported to the Permanent Secretary for Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment on 1st October 2008 over the alleged breach of clauses 18(m)(i) & (iii) of the Collective Agreement regarding the payment of Public Holidays.
The Permanent Secretary accepted the report and referred the dispute to the Employment Relations Tribunal on 17th November 2008 for adjudication.
The parties first appeared before the Tribunal on 19th December 2008 and at subsequent appearances for mention they were advised and encouraged to explore prospects for further social dialogue. Consequently, at the call for mention held on 10th July 2009 it was reported to the Tribunal that the applicant was studying an offer of settlement made by the respondent.
When the matter was again called on 12th August 2009, the Tribunal was advised that the parties have reached an agreement as stipulated in the attached "Deed of Settlement."
The Deed of Settlement signed by the parties is endorsed as a binding decision by the Tribunal under section 210(2) of the Employment Relations Promulgation 2007.
