Singh v The State [1990] FJHC 74; Haa0052o.90s (8 September 1990)

IN THE HIGH COURT OF FIJI
At Suva
Appellate Jurisdiction

CRIMINAL APPEAL NO. 52 OF 1990

Between:

MAHENDRA SINGH
s/o Hukum Singh
Applicant

- and -

THE STATE
Respondent

Applicant in Person
Mr J. Prakash for the Respondent

ORDER

Having heard the appellant and learned State Counsel's opposition this Court can find no merit at all in this appeal against sentences that were richly deserved in all the circumstances of the cases.

The offences were petty and mean and shows that the appellant deserves little leniency at all from the Courts. He is an elderly man and should know better. The appeal against sentence is accordingly dismissed.

(D. V. Fatiaki)
JUDGE

At Suva
9th August, 1990.
