JUDGMENT


[1] Waisale Naturu and Ronald Ritesh Chand, you are charged as follows:


Statement of Offence


CULTIVATING OF INDIAN HEMP: Contrary to section 8(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, Cap. 114, section 3 of the Dangerous Drugs Act (Amendment) Decree, 1990 and section 2 of the Dangerous Drugs Act (Amended) No. 1 Decree, 1991.


Particulars of Offence


WAISALE NATURU and RONALD RITESH CHAND on the 7th day of July, 2004 at Volivoli, in Korolevu in the Western Division were found cultivating 2,335 plants of dangerous drugs namely, Indian Hemp.


[2] The three assessors have unanimously advised me that you are both guilty as charged. In directing myself on my own Summing Up, I agree with them. The evidence against each of you is overwhelming.


[3] This Court finds you both guilty of the offence and you are convicted accordingly.
