ORDER

BEFORE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE THE HONORABLE MR JUSTICE KINIVILIAME KETECA ON TUESDAY 28^TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2025

UPON HEARING W Deiye of counsel for the Republic and S Hazelman of the counsel for the Defendant.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:

1. The Director of Medical Services is to make arrangements for the psychiatric assessment of Paul Tagner Ratabwiy in relation to his mental capacity at the time of the offence and whether he suffered from any form of mental impairment that had the effect that:
   1. Where he did not know the nature and quality of the conduct;
   2. He did not know that the conduct was wrong; or
   100. He was unable to control the conduct.
        
2. The Director of Medical Services is to provide a medical report on or before 17^th March, 2025.
   
3. The Defendant and/or his counsel shall make arrangements with the Director of Medical Services for his psychiatric evaluation on a suitable date.
   
4. This matter is adjourned to 17^th March, 2025 at 10 am for Mention.
   
5. Matter to be put before the Registrar on the 11^th February, 2025 at 10am for further remand of the Accused.
