Indictment for manslaughter. Ruled that indictment is formally defective and otherwise objectionable under Section 569 in that it charges the wrong offence.


Under Section 3 of the Infanticide Ordinance 1953-56, the offence charged' in the indictment should be infanticide and not manslaughter.


Application to amend charge for manslaughter to infanticide.


No objection. Leave to amend.


Plea: Guilty.


Sentence: To rising of Court.


Prisoner subsequently discharged.
