SCHEDULE.

AN ACT

entitled

Supplementary (Appropriation) Act 2023,

Being an Act to grant and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund an increase of expenditure for the year ending 31 December 2023, in the Appropriation (General Public Service Expenditure 2023) Act 2022.

MADE by the National Parliament.

PART I. - INCREASE OF 2023 APPROPRIATION OPERATIONAL EXPENDITURE.

1. INCREASE OF OPERATIONAL EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATION.

The Appropriation (General Public Service Expenditure 2023) Act 2022 is amended to appropriate K771,000,000.00 in accordance with the details set out in the Schedule.

PART II. - 2023 SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET.

2. DIRECTION FOR APPROPRIATED EXPENDITURE.

(1) The increased appropriation identified in the Schedule totalling K498,000,000.00 is to be immediately transferred to the Department of Treasury administered 'Division 207' for payment into respective appropriations to cater for projected increases in the 2023 Budget General Goods and Services.

(2) The increased appropriation identified in the Schedule totalling K273,000,000.00 is to be immediately transferred to Department of Treasury administered 'Division 299' to service Debt Interest Payments.

Appropriation of additional expenditure for Appropriation (General Public Service Expenditure 2023) Act 2022 in Part II of this Act.
