JUDGMENT

This thirteenth day of August 1912


In the matter of a charge against Samuel Smith of Vila


The above named Samuel Smith stands convicted in default of appearance, before the Joint Court for that on the 6th July 1912 at Mele he did supply alcoholic liquor to Harry, Jack Rangi and Jack, natives of the New Hebrides, contrary to Article LIX of the Anglo-French Convention of the 20th October 1906.

Thereupon the Joint Court sentences the said Samuel Smith for his said offence to pay a fine of two pounds (£2), and the costs of the prosecution.

The sum of two pounds (£2) and costs are to be paid into the Condominium Treasury forthwith.
