CHARLIE, of Lapai, Tanna,
employed by R. G.
Lapper of Vila.
This second day of April 1918.
In the matter of a charge against CHARLIE, of Lapai, Tanna, employed by R.G. Lapper of Vila,
The above named CHARLIE, of Lapai, Tanna, employed by R. G. Lapper, of Vila, having consented to be tried summarily, stands convicted before the Joint Court for that on or between the first day of January 1918 and the 26th. March 1918 at Vila, being a servant in the employ of Robert Garfield Lapper, of Vila, he did feloniously steal one gold brooch and other articles valued at thirty one shillings (31/-) the property of the aforesaid Robert Garfield Lapper.
Thereupon the Joint Court sentences the said CHARLIE, of Lapai, Tanna, for his said offence to be imprisoned with hard labour for one month and to pay the costs of these proceedings and orders the restitution or the articles produced at Court.
