JUDGMENT
PUBLIC PROSECUTOR

This 17th day of May 1927.
In the matter of a charge against Lesle, a native of the Torres Islands, a member of the French Section of Constabulary, of stealing on the 2nd day of November 1926 at Vila certain articles, to wit a watch, a bottle of perfume, a certain quantity of tobacco, and a certain sum of money the property of Asanomasatol a Japanese French Ressortissant. The above named Lesle stands convicted before the Joint Court of the aforesaid offence.
Thereupon the Joint Court sentences the said Lesle for his offence to six months imprisonment and a fine of fr 100: provided, however, that in view of the evidence of good character adduced to the Court on behalf of the aforesaid Lesle and to his confession of guilt, the aforesaid term of imprisonment shall be suspended for the ensuing five years, during which time the above named Lesle shall be under Police supervision.
The Court orders the restitution of the watch to its lawful owner. The costs to be paid by the above named Lesle.
