Joint Court of the New Hebrides |
SECOND SCHEDULE
Report
At 8.15 a.m. on the ninth day of December in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty one there appeared before the Public Prosecutor "ad hoc" Mr Faurebrac, Inspector of Indo-chinese labourers.
The question was put to him:
"Why did not the Tonkinese DO THE TRO appear at the Joint Court session held on the 28th November last seeing that he had lodged an appeal"?
He replied:
"The Tonkinese DO THE TRO employed by Mr des Granges having by his conduct given a bad example to the other labourers, he was by request of his master taken away from the latter and it was decided that in order to get him away from the locality he should leave for Santo with Mr Berthault, Head of the Immigration Department, with a view to placing him with another master. The "Concorde" leaving on the 27th November, Mr, Berthault took the said DO THE TRO on board with him".
After being read the Report was signed.
