A Bill to amend the Maritime Act [CAP. 131] and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

BE IT ENACTED by the President and Parliament as follows:-

AMENDMENT OF [CAP. 131]

1. The Maritime Act [CAP. 131] is amended in subsections (1) and (2) of section 50 by deleting the words "Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner" and substituting therefor the words "Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner".

COMMENCEMENT

2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 27th day of June, 1989.
