THE MARITIME (CONVENTIONS) AMENDMENT ACT
NO. 36 OF 2003

An Act to amend the Maritime (Conventions) Act [CAP 155].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows-

1. Amendment
   

The Maritime (Conventions) Act [CAP 155] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement
   

This Act is taken to have commenced on 1 January 2001.

AMENDMENT OF THE MARITIME (CONVENTIONS) ACT [CAP 155]

1. At the end of the Schedule
   

Add "Agreement on the International Dolphin Conservation Program 1998".

THE MARITIME (CONVENTIONS) AMENDMENT ACT
NO. 35 Of 2003

Explanatory Note

The purpose of this Bill is to formally include the Agreement on the International Dolphin Conservation Program 1998 in the Maritime (Conventions) Act. The Government of Vanuatu has previously indicated at the diplomatic level that the Agreement would apply in Vanuatu.
