An Act to amend the Road Traffic (Control) Act [CAP 29].

Be it enacted by the President and Parliament as follows:

1. Amendment
The Road Traffic (Control) Act [CAP 29] is amended as set out in the Schedule.

2. Commencement
This Act commences on the day in which it is published in Gazette.

SCHEDULE

AMENDMENTS OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC (CONTROL) ACT
[CAP 29]

1. Section 2

Insert the following definitions in their correct alphabetical position:

""group insurance" means insurance, by which the vehicles of a number of persons are insured severally under a single contract between an insurer and another person;".

""policy" means any written contract of insurance whether contained in one or more documents;".

2. Section 41 (1)

Insert after the word 'insurance' the words "or a policy of third party group insurance".

3. Section 41 (1)

Insert after the word 'company' the words "or a registered finance organisation".

4. Section 41 (3)

Insert after the word 'insurance' (first occurring), the following words "or a policy of third party group insurance".

Insert after the word 'insurance' (second occurring), the following words "or a policy of third party group insurance".
