AN ACT to amend the Constitution to increase the maximum term of every Legislative Assembly from the years to five years.

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Western Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:-

1. Short title - This Act may be cited as the Constitution Amendment Act (No. 3) 1991 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Constitution of the Independent State of Western Samoa (hereinafter referred to as the Constitution).

2. Amendment of Constitution - Cluase (4) of Article 63 of the Constitution is amended by omitting the words "3 years" and substituting the words "5 years".
