AN ACT to amend the Internal Affairs Act 1995.

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of Western Samoa in Parliament assembled as follows:-

1. Short title - This Act may be cited as the internal Affairs Amendment Act 1997 which shall be read together with and deemed part of the Internal Affairs Act 1995 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2. Pulenuu and Sui-ole-Malo - (1) Section 14 of the principal Act is amended by omitting the word "Minister" wherever that word appears in that section and substituting the word "Secretary" except where it appears in subsection (4) of that section.

(2) Section 14 of the principal Act is further amended by omitting the word "Cabinet" wherever that word appears in that section and substituting the word "Minister".
